Developed in partnership with the New Brunswick Invasive Species Council, this is the first-ever native wildflowers seed packet for New Brunswick. The benefits of choosing to plant native flowers are plentiful:
-
Native plants are adapted to the local climate and soil conditions, which means they are more likely to thrive in your garden.
-
They provide habitat for local wildlife, such as birds, bees, and butterflies. You can create a more diverse and sustainable ecosystem in your own backyard.
-
They are an important part of our local ecosystem, and by choosing to plant them, you are helping to preserve biodiversity in your community.
Native wildflowers are deeply rooted in the region's natural landscapes, creating a profound bond between the land, its ecosystems, and the people who live there. May these NB blooms remind you to slow down and appreciate life’s interconnectedness.
