Our Story
My name is Julie, and my daughter is Mia! We moved to Canada from the UK almost 13 years ago! Two adults, a 6 year old, and a 160lb Newfoundland dog, 'Yogi Bear' who unfortunately is no longer with us!
We didn't know a single person when we moved here but quickly settled in and started our new life! In 2021 we were proud to become Canadian Citizens so I guess you are stuck with us now!
Bliss is very much a family run business! My incredibly supportive husband, Martin, is very much behind the scenes, doing all the boring stuff! I can't forget, Taehun, Mia's boyfriend who helps us in the store and is also my right hand man when it comes to engraving!
When we started thinking about opening a boutique we decided we wanted a bright modern space where we could sell primarily Canadian products, with an emphasis on local! In addition to our many Canada wide products we handpick local artists, and now have 100+ who display their products at Bliss! Our local artists are a wonderful little group and we love working with them!
We try our very best to choose items that cannot be found in other stores in the area, after all who wants to go shopping and see exactly the same items in each store! I am constantly on the lookout for new products and we have new items arriving frequently!
We love what we do and we couldn't do this without you! We have some amazing customers and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the support and words of encouragement we receive on a daily basis!!
